Kurilsk - Russia, Sakhalinskaya Oblast' The airport is in the other side of Iturup Island. No regular transport. The airport is taken by the Russian Army owing to the proximity of Japan, country pretending the islands. Japanese know Kuril islands by Chishima-retto.
