Kiev - Ukraine I love this Church very much! St Andrew is the Patron of Ukraine. He preached Christianity in the south of Ukraine and there are some ancient chronicles affirming that he sailed up the Dnieper River and, reaching present day Kiev location, he predicted that there would be built a great city. This baroque style Church was designed by the Italian architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli in the XVIII century. He also built the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg.
