Museo de las Fallas |
|
|
This is one of the most original museums in Spain!
Falla means bonfire and is one of the three main Spanish fiestas (like San Fermin in Pamplona and the Feria de Sevilla).
Every year, during March, in the centre of Valencia hundreds of Fallas made on paper, cardboard and straw, representing our politics or public people, are expose to be burnt in an immense fiesta with fireworks, music, drinks and great rejoicing. The best Falla is saved and kept in this museum.
This museum is sited in an old shelter that later was a casern and afterwards a military jail.
Pictures are not allowed.
