Kenya was one the highlights of my almost epic trip to Africa at the end of 2005. I was warned that it might be dangerous and that the people were not going to be very friendly at all. It did not turn out to be true. I did not meet a single unfriendly person. Even the taxi driver in Nairobi was cool. The personnel in the Meru National Park was very helpful, the mechanics on the Nanyuki Airport stopped the air traffic so they could put me in a car and drive me a few miles to the equator as a friendly gesture, the fishermen on Lamu were incredible! Lamu was definitely the coolest place in the country I saw. It was so relaxed, that I would want to stay there for a week or two!
