They are more Caribbean than South American. Each was, and one still is, colonised by different European power. And so, each has unique culture and flavour. French Guiana, a part of France and the European Union, is very French and full of extremely attractive people. The capital is very pleasant and a good collection of French-tropical architecture. Suriname, yes it does exist, once a Dutch colony has a very attractive capital city, full of black & white wooden and flamboyant mansions (listed by UNESCO) and very lively night life. And Guyana, the former British colony, despite poor reputation for safety, has best organised tourism industry, and its capital is legendary for night life. All three countries share three common characteristics. One is their Caribbean vibe. The other is the Amazonia. And the third is the friendly population.
