First time I went to The Gambia, just before Christmas in 2004, I met a few young people, who loved dancing and chilling in clubs. They impressed me that they represented all major ethnic groups of the country were Muslim, Christian and Animist and a combination of those, and partied together, moved together, ate together. Without fighting and all. It was so refreshing to see that, in the world full of war and terrorism inspired by religious differences. I then came back to the country several times and saw a little more along the great Gambia river. The Gambia has become of my favourite places on Earth and the Gambians are my favourite people on this planet - friendly, open, genuine and pure.
