Essaouira, is a very pretty seaside and fishing town on Morocco's Atlantic Coast. The houses are white-washed, the shutters painted turquoise and the colourful medina is traffic free. The ramparts on the seafront featured in Orson Wells' film 'Othello' and over the years it has been host to many artists. The beach is popular with windsurfers and swimmers alike. [edit text][editors]
