Entrancing Eco-Friendly Private Villa - Essaouira

  16 votes
Essaouira is a Magical city and is very userfriendly for first time visitors to North Africa. Bustling and busy fishing port which is now quite a Chic place to be - yet is still full of atmosphere and benefits from a fab Climate.

Courtyard at the Villa

We stayed at Villa Argana - about 15 minutes from the town .it is just out of this world - a total chill out and great for groups of up to about 15 people, Totally private and just SO relaxing . There is so much to do in the area and the Windsurfing is as good as it gets ! Wonderful food , Friendly People , Fab climate and CHEAP - what more can one want?

Favourite spots:

Without doubt we struck VERY lucky with Villa Argana - its simply fab! - have a look at the website at www.moroccovilla.co.uk . There are dozens of other hotels - small intimates ones in the Medina to a Swish new Sofitel ( V Expensive). It can get a bit clammy and humid in the Medina so we were glad to be out of the centre.

Nightlife:
The Beach at Sunset

Clubs mainly for Surfing and windsurfing - plenty on the seafront.

Hangouts:
Boatbuilding

Lots of Bars - but obviously not as many as in European cities.

Restaurants:

Literally Dozens of restaurants - all cheap and mostly serving great food .

For the Ultimate seafood experience try Chez Sam
