A city like a movie set that some might know or from songs. At the foothills of the western Atlas Mountains it is crossing point of arab, berba and african caravan routes and has become the center of the regions trading. Its chaotic but enchanting. Colourful workshops and bazaars are predominant and make a photographers paradise.
There are also delightful palaces and gardens open to the public. The Badii Palace is a ruin, now the abode of storks, whereas the Bahia Palace has great ornamentation; mosaics, cedarwood and stone tracery. [edit text][editors]
