Thanks for your comments, Maria. yes, that village is decidedly rustic - primitive in fact as is the way of life there. I can't say I find the pictures of it [except in the carpet warehouse] very charming but I hoped they might be interesting.

Hi Maria
Good to know you are still looking in on us from your holiday. Enjoy what's left of it and thanks for the comment.
Cheers,

Hi
As David probably mentionned to you, it was great. David was really nice, brillant! It was good to share his travel experiences as well as his command of the Spannich language mainly when in was time to order food in restaurants!
We have learned a lot about the Inca culture.
The Inca trail was fantastic, the landscape was great, I will highly recommed it, Inca trail in of of the ten most fantastic trek to do, my knees sufferred a lot, but it was well worth it!

Hi Maria
Isabelle [Frenchfrog] who joined Globo yesterday was on the Peru trip. She was the person who shared our taxi to the suburbs of Arequipa and she was kind enough to send me a mass of photos in place of those I lost, when my camera was stolen.
I suppose I need to say, since this is a 'public' message, that I haven't uploaded any of them on this site!
Cheers
David

Glad to see you here! As you know, I'm not long a member myself and I'm not really au fait with how to look up other members. However I have already recognised Marianne and Karl.
