Ciudad del Este’ (City of the East) is also called the "Triangle" as it links Argentina and Brazil to Paraguay, and it is said that it probably attracts the worst of each country. It has also become a centre for counterfeiting, smuggling, and trafficking of US dollars, arms, drugs, etc. However, it is also a shopper’s paradise for inexpensive electrical goods.
