More than 30 years ago I visited Prague for the first time and I loved it (though it was raining cats and dogs all the time... ;-)). This time (May 2010) , with some sun and noticing the restauration efforts, it has been even more beautiful than I had remembered it. It was exhilarating to see this fantastic architectural collection of many different epochs again, to stroll around in the Old and the 'New' Town (which actually is several hundred years old as well), to cross the Vltava river on magical Charles Bridge, to feel the atmosphere in enchanting Malá Strana or on Kampa peninsula.
People were friendly and there was always a marvellous opportunity to find a place for enjoyable relaxing: a park, a garden, a bench 'with a view', a calm yard, cozy cafés, nice restaurants.
And how great is the reward for climbing the Hradčany: impressive vistas of the city and the river. Watching the sunset at the Charles Bridge on the last evening occured to be a perfect end of our stay.
