Maurice,
I have only dived in North America, so my experience is limited. Belize was, by far, the best! The reef is close to shore, requiring only a 15 minute boat ride to many of the dive sites. The highlight was a dive in which they chummed for shark at 60 feet. We were surrounded by Nurse Shark immediately - very tame and small (6-7 feet). We also saw reef shark on that trip. The coral canyons are wonderful and there are lots of swim-throughs. I just got back from Puerto Vallarta, on the Pacific side of Mexico and it was a disappointment after having been in such wonderful conditions in Belize!

Maurice,
Your underwater photos are fantastic. What is your secret? I must take 20 photos for every good underwater pic I get. The detail in these is marvelous! I am jealous!

Underwater photography is the most difficult (makes night shots seem childs stuff) so I like and appreciate your recent pictures so much. So will mistybleu, eirekay and quite a few other scuba divers at GLOBO, I must start a list or atleast a theme thing going for us here soon...

Thanks for the heads up. I really enjoyed looking at your recently uploaded pictures, I'm very impressed with the vibrant colours, especially the sea slug.
I've just started diving, which I done in the GBR - Australia, it was fantastic. But your dives seem really cool, you seem very comfortable below the waters and you have produced some great shots. I really like the picture of the turtle asending and the stingray. I'm hoping to go diving again over the Christmas when I will be in the Caribbean.
Rgds Misty
