I was delighted to find GloboSapiens, and I appreciate you welcome. I am planning a trip from October - December to Australia and New Zeland, so all info will be helpful.
Thanks!
Bobbie
Newbie here hopes that this gets to you. Thanks for the welcome to Globosapiens.
If all goes as planned, soon we will be posting our travel notes and pix on our web site. We had some good times in the UK and Europe mostly staying in self-catering apartments and driving around in cute little rental cars.
Grew up and worked in WI, then moved to NW FL for 25 years and after retirement, became "halfbacks," going only halfway back to from whence we came. Maryville is a delightful small town midway between Knoxville and Cades Cove in the Smokies. We have Chilhowee Mountain out of our back door. Knoxville airport (eight airlines) is in next-door Alcoa and the junction of E-W I-40 and N-S I-75 is nearby, so it is fairly easy to get to most places by air or land from here. As you might detect, we love Maryville.
Thanks for your comments; the pictures are not mine, they are created by God (not to be philosophical). It's just really amazing how pretty the South Island is!

Thanks for your comment and rating on my Teruel and Cantavieja site. I only wish I'd had long enough at Morella to include it as well.
Cheers, David

Ive noticed you too take some time in welcomming new members - wish more members would, specially when locality and language is similar. The first entry is the most difficult without getting personal but helps to break the ice a little and encourages participation...
