Amanda,
Yes, things seem to have settled down in Thailand. Two weeks ago I was truly worried, but I think we are going to be fine. We just can't wear red apparently :-)

Thanks for your message. Philippines are indeed beautiful country. I haven't had a plan to go there this year. I wanted to see New Zealand. But the air fares were so expensive that I decided to postpone trip to NZ. Then I found cheap flights to Hong Kong and from there I found a return ticket to Manila for only 150 euro, so I decided to go there. Also I have been in most of the others countries in SE Asia, so I wanted to see something new. Before my trip one of my friends show me also a link to a photoblog from the journey to the Philippines, when I watched the photos I was already sure that was great place to see. Also Wojtek Dąbrowski on hi homepage made a great report from his journey to the Philippines.
It is funny because people or love or hate this country. For me it was one of the best trips in my life. But if you are not well prepared, you will not fall in love with the Philippines. A lot of touts, poverty and crime (I was robbed there as well).

great to have your stunning pics from Hawaii compiled in a beautiful slide show - I love the waterfall pics and the seals. :)
Thanks for your nice words about the Flowers album. Yes, some spring flowers here are withered already. The Magnolia trees are losing their petals... time for the summer planting.
When will you be back in Europe?
Take care - Petra
