I am a big fan of Paris but when I was there in 2003, I only had a non digital camera and so the pictures weren't as good as yours!! I am green with envy!! Especially the Pont Neuf!! Hope you had a wonderful time there, thanks for sharing those lovely pictures..

You ask about desert tours, they are easily available and quite priceworthy. For the Sahara desert most the cost is getting there - the tour then gets offered anyway by a hoard of eager operators once you land there in any city from Cairo to Casablanca. South Africa has some great desert places too; Karoo, Kalahari and the Namib. For some of the agencies see: www.southafrica-travel.net/travel/ae_tour.htm
I still wish to see Namaqualand, the only area I have not seen on that subcontinent, perhaps quite soon, im missing those braais and biltong :-(you know:-)...
