Back to you from Yosemite

Posted: 2007-11-02 09:21 PM
Hi, Zellah

I live in Pine Mountain Lake, Groveland, CA - only 25 miles from Yosemite, a 30-minute drive. Have you ever visited the Yosemite?

We went there last Monday, OCT 30th, to see the last of the fall colors before the thunderstorm that afternoon. The park was magical. I dont have the new photos on my Webshots Homepage yet, but I did put up a Fall Colors Album of Yosemtie last year.

We love Yosemite any time of the year except in the middle of summer when the waterfalls go dry. Last year we had only 22% of average snowpack, and less than half the normal rainfall, so this was a very dry year for this area. The best time to see Yosemite is in the spring months of April - May.

We honeymooned in Yosemite, our anniversary is March 25th, so we have always tried to make it back to Yosemite every year to celebrate the 25th in the park. The falls are alway full then, and sometimes there is still some snow in the Valley which is breathtaking.

Do you have family in Georgia? Becky :

Hi Zellah,

Thanks for leaving comments under my pictures. I'm always pleased to read people like my pictures. There are rafting opportunities down the river but we didn't go for one. The weather was poor and rafting wasn't cheap.
And the pictures of the Tara river all were taken from a rock promontory of Curevac, the best viewpoing over the canyon (I used ultra zoom).

Best,
Adam

geranium flavoured coffee

We certainly tried. As a matter of fact on a previous visit we bought geranium flavoured sugar. I use it to sweeten cake and coffee. It is a very special taste. We also bought orange blossom flavoured sugar, is also nice.

Hi Zellah,

thank you for comments on my San Framcisco photos. I have visited the city four times now and it is truly one of my favourite cities in the world. I's so beautiful and so compact with great public transport. You can just leave your car at the hotel and take the bus or walk - the best way to discover a city.

All the best

I liked your photos of eddie owens very much. His art looks like indigenous art. What is his background?

You could write a 'tip' and put it in the 'tavel tip' section.

Thanks for comment. I like to make a photos of people. But I am always trying to don't impose myself with camera. Photo should be natural, and the photo with the ladies on the bench is the one of my favorites.
Anyway Poland and Hungary are great places to visit, even a month is not enough to see major attractions :)

Have a nice day
Rafal
