Oktoberfest was always a family festival since 1810 but till about 100 years ago it progressively became more of a "Beer Fest". These photos show the atmosphere inside the various beer-halls (really tents) over the years and the biggest party on earth. Travellers come from allover the world. Typical beer-lovers like the English, Irish, Australians and South Africans are always very well represented guests but the whole world is always represented, increasingly Italians and Japanese.
