Old National Gallery's by siffer

Berlin - Germany, Berlin One of the great museums on Museum Island, the Old National features the great classic art between the French Revolution and WWI. It was build from 1869-76 to plans by King Frederick William IV whose equestrian statue dominates the entrance. And like most Prussian monarchs, classical architecture was the model. The museum has lots of Classic and Romantic art, but is particulary strong in the Impressionists - a great collection.
