St Nicholas Church's by siffer

Prague - Czech Republic, Hlavni Mesto Praha This over the top Baroque classic was built around 1735 for the Jesuits of Prague, but became the central Hussite church for Prague - an odd choice given the architectural excesses. It was restored during WWII by Czech soldiers housed there and returned to religious use after the war. Surrounding buildings were demolished allowing full view of the many exterior sculptures. Striking both by day and at night by spotlights.
