The Magere (Skinny) Bridge is Amsterdam's most famous bridge crossing the Amstel River. Legend states a very small bridge was built at this site so two sisters living on opposite sides of the river could meet without a long walk. Who knows? Today it is pedestrianized and no longer skinny.
