Albuquerque travelogue picture
Albuquerque is the industrial powerhouse of New Mexico (Capital Santa Fe). It is impressive situated between the Rio Grande and the Sandia Peaks. It is pretty much like most US-Cities of that size, but surrounded by Indian-Reservates and impressive Landscape. The climate is perfect - almost year- around dry and sunny - but not hot.

Favourite spots:

Sandia Peak - right beside town White Sands - incredible white dunes in southern New Mexico Santa Fe - charming spanish influenced city Cerillos - Ghosttown

What's really great:

The climate and of course the Balloons - every Year in Octobre happens to be the 10-days ballon fiesta with approximately 1000 balloons from all over the world. It is said that this most fotographic event in the world. - and I believe that.

Crowne Plaza and all the other typical american hotel chains for every budget are in town, a very interesting option is staying in a full furnished appartment of US-Suites.

Nightlife:

Down at univerity street and in down town are some clubs.
In the winter you can drive up to Taos where a lot of Après Ski action can be found.

Hangouts:
