For those who are planning a travel in Greece, it worths to spend at least one week on the island where i do live. Its about Andros island, the second biggest island of Cyclades, where about 8000 souls are trying to make their lives easier
-Just 2 hours by ferry from the port of Rafina and 2,5 hours from the Athens International Airport -the most beautiful beaches in Cyclades -history that begins since 5000 b.c -cultural capital of Cyclades -where the sunset is competitive to sunshine
Favourite spots:
Andros town, Gavrion harbour, Ahla river, Ahla beach, Vori beach, Korthi bay for wind surf lovers, Pithara springfalls, Vitali beach, The old castle in Kohilou village, Ancient watermills in Froussei old village The ancient capital of Paleopolis The Fasa lighthouse
What's really great:
What i really like best is enjoying the sunshine in the beach of Agia Moni , in the southern limit of the island and the sunset from the Fasa lighthouse.

Ioannis,
Good of you to write your first report. I like the photos, but wish you had written more because I am sure there is lots to see on Andros. You say that Andros is the second largest island of the Cyclades. Is Síros the largest? I only know Mykonos in this island group, but it is too overcrowded, when I visited.
