Dubai is an amazing place! Having lived in Chicago all my life, its great to come out here and live in the Middle East for a few months. Its got great things to see, a little arabic culture, expensive drinks, and lots of hookers. Yes that's right, a lot of hookers. here there, everywhere! I've never felt more like a stud anywhere else in the world!
Favourite spots:
Carter's at Wafi City / Champions in JW Marriot (Diera) has 10 dirham drinks all day all night every day.
What's really great:
all the coffee houses here are actually these 'shisha' places, which is a different type of flavored tobacco. its actually quite nice smelling, but yet to try it
Accommodations:
If you're in for a short time, then its no problem. you can get anice hotel maybe for 75 US a night.
Nightlife:
Clubs are mostly only in hotels because those are the only places that can serve alcohol. just ask around for your type and you'll surely find a nice fit
