Granada is a very old city founded by the Spains. It is situated in the heart of nicaragua, close to the capital, Managua (45 min by bus) directly at the biggest lake of nicaragua, the Lago de Nicaragua. There are many travellers and backpackers, even many spanish language schools. The city has a nice climate and there is no stress.
Favourite spots:
The city itself, the main plaza. The Vulcano Mombatcho, the Nicaragua Lake.
What's really great:
I like most the special feeling at home in this city. The climate is not so bad and there are many things to do and many good places to stay there.
