Hurghada is located on the coast of the red sea, It is a relatively new city springing up within the last 10yrs. It is very touristy and caters strictly to tourists. This is a place for rest and relaxation, suntan and water sports.

Snorkling off the coast, hanging with Samir the owner of the Meya Meya. Seeing underground Belai dancers during ramadan, courtesy of Samir
Sights:
just stroll through town, nothing spectacular but nothing not interesting.

Other recommendations:
if possible, try to go 4x4ing in the eastern desert... what a rush, hang with the bedouins for the day and watch the stars while you lay amongst the dunes. totally awesome experience.
