Samaria gorge is must!!!!!!!Of course it is 18 km.walk and it is not easy but you will love it.There is also lot of others places to see on Crete but since is a large island I suggest you rent a car or take some of the organise tours wich are also very god.There is also a public bus ,but for some of the sights you want to visit a bus stop is not so close.If you got a car you can realy explore as you want and as long as you want.You can find lot of small beaches ( so called greeks- you want find many tourists there) also see some very nice villages in mountain where you can taste fresh chesse,raki,honey and others local specialates. This island also have very interesting history so bay some local book ,it will help you to learn and also to find that sites.

Beautifully written, but short and therefore 4*. What about the Knossos labyrinth? And about the 15th August dances? And about the boat service from Piraeus? And about the Greek coffee and mussaka food? That info would help readers. But in general very good, thanks for your colaboration!
