Jaipur is the regal destination on the trail of golden triangle tours. The city is affectionately called Pink city. At the time its construction, it was one of the few cities in the world which was entirely planned.

Most of the beautiful forts and palaces happen to be in Rajasthan. For much of its history, Rajasthan has been synonymous with royalty and grandeur. The very name Rajasthan means “Land of Kings”. Its connection with history is ancient one as the Kalibangan in Hanumangarah district had been the major provincial centre of the Harappa civilization. It has been the theatre of battles against the Arabs from 6th century onwards. The impact of these battles shaped the Rajasthan culture for centuries to come.

The people of Rajasthan are simple, festive and very courteous. The breathtaking Rajasthan heritage is visible as you travel across the land dotted with magnificent palaces and forts. All the states ruled by Rajput rulers before Independence were merged into what is now known as Rajasthan with Jaipur as the capital. The tourists have so much to explore in this fascinating land. It has something to offer for everyone. If you are a wildlife enthusiast, the Bharatpur Sanctuary is the place to head for. The place is famous for the countless varieties of fauna and flora.

Aravalli range, the oldest mountains in India, runs through much of Rajasthan. The only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, is nestled amidst these mountains. It is very popular amongst honeymoon couples. For the tourists, Jaipur is a must visit. It is a place where the regality oozes and overwhelms one walking through its numerous beautiful palaces and forts. Along with Aravalli, the Thar Desert also defines and runs through major cities like Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Mandawa, Pushkar, etc. the sand dunes and camel are archetypical Rajasthan images.
