One of the few places I'd go back to - the people, the culture. It's a wonderful city, and the experience infiltrates all 5 senses. Unlike any other place!
Favourite spots:
Bodna Stupa. It is said to have been build on some of the remains of Buddha. It is spriritual and removed from the world around you. Buy prayer flags and visit the temple. remember to go to the left when you enter the gate
What's really great:
The people are sincere, and it is good to represent the US without arrogance and affluence - something they expect. The food is good
Sights:
anywhere on the streets of Kathmandu - the pace is consuming, learn to say dinos - I don't need
Accommodations:
tents on treks - wow - did I really do that for 2 whole weeks with tea and hot water every morning from a smiling face: NAMASTE
