I pretend to show here some pictures of the city of Kuwait, where I went to live with my parents, when I was 7 years old only.
But even with the hard traditions system, and we where strangers there, I had spend a very good time and a highs level educatio

Kuwait is a small oil-rich monarchy on the coast of the Persian Gulf, enclosed by Saudi Arabia in the south and Iraq in the north. The name is a diminutive of an Arabic word meaning fortress built near water. Favourite spots:

There is not so much spots to show, or talk about it. But surely they have things different to show like the Kuwait Towers, most famous landmark, The main tower is 187 metres high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a Viewing Sphere which rises to 123 meters above sea level and completes a full round turn every 30 minutes. there is also the The Liberation Tower is the tallest structure in Kuwait. Construction of the tower commenced before the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. It was meant to be called The Kuwait Telecommunications Tower.

What's really great:

Well there is a lot of things I had liked when I was young, like going to the desert and see nothing only sands, Bedouins and camels.
I had ride them many times .

Sights:

National Museum
Located near the National Assembly on the Seif, the National Museum comprises four buildings and planetarium. It houses the As-Sabah collection of Islamic Art, one of the most comprehensive in the world. Other buildings house pearl-diving relics, ethnographical artefacts and archaeological material from excavations on Failaka Island.

lion's gate
The first wall around the City was built in the 1760s, the second in 1814, and the last in 1920. This was demolished in 1957 but its five gates were left standing as monuments to the past.

Nightlife:
Kuwait travelogue picture
When you think of nightlife in Kuwait than you MUST forget what nighlife means in non muslim world! You can go out for a shisha (water pipe) and have a coke or even Mecca Coke. You can enjoy some nice cocktails. In Kuwait a cocktail is made of fresh fruit juice and ice cream but no alchohol in it!

Hangouts:
Kuwait travelogue picture
I've lived a pretty normal life in Kuwait; the usual hangouts, the regular mischievous activities that any adolescent goes through, the ups and downs of growing up. There is something though, that seems to tie young people as well as grown ups in Kuwait: the usual complaints about certain aspects of living. One of the not so recent complaints was about gas prices, and how it escalated 10 fils! The raising gas prices affected us all, instead of paying five KD to fill up a tank, it would cost seven KD, which in our culture would be preposterous! WE are the country that exports oil, how could something like this happen?

Restaurants:
Kuwait travelogue picture
Tarboosh Restaurant: It is considered the best Lebanese restaurant in Kuwait. Try the full Mezza , it is delightful and have fresh ingredients. It is a good idea to make reservation , especially in the evening. For reservation call 965-242-2055

Ricardo: Of course it is an Italian restaurant. It has a classical & chic atmosphere. it is considered the best Italian Restaurant in Kuwait.

Shahrayar: It is a Persian restaurant and since you are in Kuwait, you should try this cuisine. Tables are crowded and the service is not that great, but it is not that bad.

The Coffee Shop: It serves buffet lunch & dinner. The food is great. You need reservation in the weekend.
