Wonderful Hotel in San Jose

  5 votes
Don't let the outside fool you, this wonderful 100 year old coffee plantation home, expertly converted into a Hotel/ B&B with attention to detail, just shines. Amazing hard wood lobby, 15 foot high ceilings & King Louie XV furniture greet you !

Large center courtyard housing the restaurant , pool , jacuzzi and fitness center , make this the only downtown San Jose hotel with green spaces and open air space. Located four blocks from Central Avenue and is walking distance to everything. Very clean rooms, with lots of free amenities including free breakfast, high speed wired and wireless wi fi , in room safety box, baggage storage, tour planning and great service make this the place to stay in San jose.

Favourite spots:
Lunch in the central market , cup of great coffee in the cafe in the national theatre and on all Thursdays at 5pm for less than 2 dollars a one hour presentation by musicians of the national symphony upstains in the national theater. Enjoy !

What's really great:
Geographically there is no other country like Costa Rica, it has mountains two different oceans with beautiful beaches . The San Lorenzo zip line is a really fun thing to do, while there.

entire country is amazing

Hotel Santo Tomas medium priced and Hostel Pangea for the budget.

El Oasis located in Hotel Santo Tomas for great dining and the central market for the real flavor of Costa Rica.

There is some interest here but it is a bit too like an advert for me to find it a good report. I think it would be more appropriate for Travel Tips.
