Tortosa is located in the south of Catalunya (Catalonia - Spain), it belongs to the region of the ebro valley (Baix Ebre) which has mountains, river and coast.

Tortosa is the capital city of the Baix Ebre Municipality which is located in the south of Catalonia, through which flows the river ebro, this area has loads of different types of river ebro properties that will certainly interest you. Tortosa is the capital & episcopal headquarters of the Baix Ebre municipality, historicly brought up on the left side of the river and today spread on both sides, Tortosa has a population over 30.000 inhabitants and a surface area of 220,00 km2. The two thousand year old town of Tortosa, is the focus for most of the economic, social and cultural life of the Baix Ebre region. The Baix Ebre region in Catalonia offers a varied range of locations for your ebro river property: riverfrontage, countryside, mountainside, beachside, etc... Its rich and green vegetation spreading along the river Ebro and the lovely spanish climate attracts more people every day to visit or to purchase a property. You can find more info visiting www.thinkebro.com This region, Baix Ebre, is very different from the costas down the south, with usually dryer landscape and full of foreigners from many european countries.
