What a city

Had the one of the greatest times of my life.....Was there last year for about seven weeks. Trained there at Steiner Academy to go work on a cruise ship. Met so many people there who were returning to do another contract and other people like me.

Do not really have a general idea of the town because I was training at Steiner Academy during the day and I would only be there on the weekend. The people I met were there were awesome. Night life was a blast there too. People loved hearing my accent because I was from California. It was great. I equally enjoyed listening to the different British accents and other accents from other countries that were there. Almost all the people who train at Steiner stay at the YMCA in Watford. People from all over the world go and stay at the Y-M-C-A. That song has a new meaning for me because I have actually stayed there. I know I did not tour the whole city but from what I saw, it was not very big. It is amazing how close the cities are and the amount of people in each one. I would stay there again but only if it were for a reunion with the people I met there.

Favourite spots:
Maximo's Restaurant and bar was one of our fav places to go and dance. Had some absolutely great nights of dancing there with no alcohol what so ever. The best thing about that place was the fact that there was no cover charge. Our group would go so often that the bouncers knew our vivacious group of sexy beauty therapists. The only thing that bothered me was that your allowed to smoke inside. I am so used to my clean air. Hehehe. Went to another Italian restaurant quite frequently but can not remember the name. We always received the best of service and the food was absolutely to die for. I would go back for the food alone there. Its a shame I do not recall the name of the restaurant. Destiny's was an exciting place to go to. It does not seem as big as it really is. It was wild crazy in there, but the same issue again with the smoke. I reaked of it when we left. But it was well worth it.

What's really great:
The variety of shops there. It was so different from back home. It was a trip. The sales clerks I must say weren't as friendly compared to what I'm used to. I loved the community events that went on every week. I thought it was awesome that they have a Wal-Mart.

Nightlife:
Maximo's was one of the best places for me to go to. No cover charge and great hip hop/dance mix for that price. A lot of good looking people and great food during the day.

Hangouts:
Lloyd's Pub is another great place to mingle and socialize with all kinds of people. Didn't have as great as music in my opinion as Maximo's though. No cover charge there before 10pm.
