YangShuo is an obligation to stop and stay for some days. Is really relaxing city, beutiful, cheap, happy people, wonderful. Yeah, YangSuo is not the real, real China, is still so occidental because of the tourism. Is a little town in the middle of the hills, between rivers and mountains, in a bohemian area great for the chinese artists to develope their art in a scroll-paintings thata at the end are little wonders.
Favourite spots:
The East street where you can find all kind of facilities, the two beautiful hills in the city and not so much more ... the best is out the city in a little bicicle ride: The Moon Hill, The Water Budha Cave, All the surrounding hills that you can climb, the caves to explore, the big tree, the Dragon Ball scenery!!! Ha,ha,ha... ;)
What's really great:
The people. Lot of people told me that in YangShuo i could find the warmest people, all right i went there and maybe didnīt find the warmest but still where really funny and nice with me.
Accommodations:
Is plenty of cheap accomodations all around!! from 10 to 30 Yuen you can find hotel rooms really good, clean, with shower, etc... Is great, really!!
The Happy Hotel is far from the center but the managers are funny.
At the city center you can find lot of other hotels as the Coco Hotel, the Lotus, ... or 20 Yuen/night
Restaurants:
Restaurants or pubs can be founded one after the other at East Street or West Street. Cheap, nice and great food.
Try the Fisherman restaurant to try Snake!!!
Wow! they kill the snake in front of you and after they cook for you the meet with vegetables and rice, a soup with the bones, you can drink the blood with some alcoholic drink and you can Keep the SKIN OF THE SNAKE!!! great!!!
