Mortimer and Rangutan, thanks for the feedback. I am very much aware that the tip of the tower of my number 1 picture is absent. I took it with my digital camera and the lens doesn’t adjust itself as smoothly as my Canon Eos does. When I reduced numbers 2 and 3, they became slightly out of focus. That’s what usually happens. Any suggestions how to avoid this?

Ravinderkumarsi: I agree with you, it is difficult to take pictures of tall objects.

Have you three got any Eiffel Towers pictures?

Hi Marianne

About picture 2 and 3... they both are quite interesting. If you feel like you rather had on ly the statue in the front and the tower it would be pretty easy to delete the second statue beacause she is surrounded by clouds.... Just simple cloning of the surrounding clouds would make the job.

For the size reduction and the focus loss... this happends with my pictures too! I figured out the following solution:

Editing the picture in your photo editing software:

- Reducing the size of the image to 600 pixel (max size allowed here)

- Using an automated sharpening tool (in German it's called "unscharf maskieren" I don't know the english expression but im sure you'll find a useful function; just try them out)

Then upload the picture.

For the decision about which picture is better probably picture 3.

I think the best one would be something in between the two.

I like that the towers platform is shown in picture 2 but it misses the top of the tower. In picture 2 the third statue is somewhat confusing. Considering the effect of the statues and the tower picture 3 is my fafourite.

I'll look through my Paris pictures but I'm not aware of any good eiffel ones. ;-)

Hi Martin,

Thank you for your feedback on the other two Eiffel Towers. I hope you find yours, would love to see them and give feedback.

When reducing my pictures I do exactly as you advice but they look as if they have shrunk too much. I am right now uploading pictures which i took in Kuala Lumpur. I reduced them to 900 pixels, and I think the quality is better.

Marianne

Sorry no Eiffel tower pics from my side... Just some Versailles to look forward to in the distant future.

London or Paris are more sort of trips to me, I don't usually take camera gear with me on those. So there are just a few pictures of these places in my albums.

Greetings All,

Thank you for your kind comments on my odd angled picture of the Eiffel Tower. It was actually taken with a very cheap camera (20$)..and that is why the picture quality isn't as good as it should be.

As per other "Eiffel Towers"? Here's a picture of a 3 meters high reproduction of the famous tower.
