Jun 26, 2012 08:00 PM Round the World Travel 2012/13

Yes, yes, yes…. Now there are only several days left and we will start our Round the World Travel. We have been thinking about this Travel, making plans and discussing it thousands of times. The plan is to go slow, try to understand the culture of the countries. Traveling is a great experience and the best university ever. You can see the real world not the world as you know from TV. During our previous travel we found that a lot of things which we believed about some countries were not true. So, go slow and look around :).

Round the World Travel 2012/13 planned route

The rough plan of our expedition: Trondheim - Gdansk - London - Singapore-Darwin (surface to Sydney) - Auckland-Santiago De Chile (surface to Buenos Aires) – London-Gdansk-Trondheim

There are only the main flights which we are going to take. Of course we bought the flexible ticket with dates so we can modify our plans if we find some places less or more interesting :)

In Asia we are going to see Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, do the trekking in Nepal and probably visit very beautiful Chinese province – Yunnan.

After Asia we will discover Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands.

As the last part we will move to South America and explore Chile, Argentina and Peru… and come back to Trondheim 1st of May to prepare for the Norwegian National day the 17th of May.

We are going to write our RTW travel diary in English and Polish on this blog. Non-Polish speakers are then welcome to vist our page at "Round the World Travel 2012/13" lap http://ourvoyages.com/rtw/ to read our travel descritions in English. We will try to write our memories of the travel in English every 2nd week. If you want just to see some more photos of our Travel you can always swich to main page and look at the Polish version which will be updated more frequently...

Feb 27, 2010 09:00 PM Stroheia Sunday cross-country skis trip

Stroheia Sunday cross-country skis trip The wheather is so nice, only -5C with no wind. We take a bus nr 10 form downtown to get up to Skistua. From this place we g by our cross-country skis to Storheia area via Elgsehytta. There are such good conditions with clearce of air... Finally, beautiful winter came - as usually from mid of february til april in Trondelag. We really enjoy living in Mid-Norway and doing this weekend's winter and summer trips: Is Norway the most beautiful country? At least one of the most beautiful for us...

Feb 22, 2010 09:00 PM Cold record in Trondheim

Brr, -25C it is so cold. It was the coldest night during last 50 years here. It would not be a good time for hilidays here, but fortunately, I am going to my warm office this morning...

Feb 19, 2010 09:00 PM Downhill skis on Vassfjellet

There is really nice place for skis nearby Trondheim where we spent our spare winter time. Today is so cold like about -17C, but fortunately possible to ski. Every part of body is well covered, except our face that feels the Scandinavian winter coldness...
Anyway, we enjoy the day by skiing and watching mountain winter scenes around ***

Feb 14, 2010 09:00 PM 4 days in Lillehammer - Winter Olympic town from 1994

The wheather was quite good, about -5C, a quite a lot of sun. We spent one day on cross-country skis and 3 days on downhill skis. It was really fascinating winter skiing holiday (that we had just at the begening of Winter Olympic in Vancuver).
We bought 3 days skipass for about 1600 NOK (200 EUR) per person to enjoy skies on Hafjell - excelent place where Winter Olympic Games was in 1994. There are a lot of different types of lifts and well prepared ski-routes that we explored for 6-7 hours a day...

Feb 10, 2010 09:00 PM Norwegian winter opportunieties...

Norwegian winter opportunieties... It started snowing at Christmas time this season in Trondheim. Finally, we can enjoy downhill as well as cross-country skis nearly every weekend in Sør-Trondelag. This weekend we would like to visit new area and we are going to ski in Lillehammer for 4 days. Hopefully the wheather will be fine, but at least the probality of rain in february is close to none :o)

Sep 11, 2009 06:00 PM Our wedding day :o))

Our wedding day :o)) Our wedding was such wonderful and beautiful day that we will always remember :o)). I will shortly describe it, but I will have to write some more details as a report afterwards.
We arrived at 13.10 at the St. Mikolaj church in Old_Town of Gdańsk to start the celebration mass at 13.30
The mass was guided by Dominican monk who did it so perfectly and we could feel really hyper during the all celebration.
About 150 persons arrived to the church for our ceremony :o)
There were also my friends from Norway and Ecuador who came just for our wedding.
After the mass we received greetings and gifts from all of people who came.
Afterwards (at 14.45) we went for a walk all together around the Old_Town. The whether was beautiful and the Sun was shining :o)
After one hour of walking we came to “Tawerna Dominkanska” to start the Wedding Party. It was so nice to celebrate with almost 70 persons. This Party was so successful and we celebrated from 15.30 until 3.30 - during 12 hours by dancing, eating and drinking...
DJs and cookers did really good job and we enjoyed our time so much :o)
We really loved that day, as all of our guests did, and we will try to write some more :o))

Sep 10, 2009 06:00 PM Our last bacherlor day...

Hopefully, it will change. The weather forecast looks quite opimistic :)) but we will see. Please keep your fingers crossed.
