So i'm back from a year in Italy and the reverse culture shock is a lot worse than the shock of arriving italy. I guess there its expected that things could and might be uncomfortable, but at home things seem like they should be the same. They're not. My parents have changed (empty nest syndrome, i believe) and the sleepy town i left 12 months ago (BG) is TOTALLY different. Who knew that so many new shops, stores, and parks could change the whole vibe of a city?
