On our way from Paris to Bordeaux, we went through the Loire Valley, and stopped at Chambord and for lunch in Amboise.

3 days in Paris, spending 3 hours in Louvre, which was far to little. I managed to see 2/3 of the egyptian collection, Mona Lisa, and as the photo shows, the Venus of Milo.

We planned to go to Switzerland summer 1999, but changes our plans when we were invited to a friends wedding on Sardinia. We stayed 2 weeks in Alghero, and travelled up and down to Oristano with a red Alfa Romeo 146 T-spark.

I went with another bus to a christian conference, this time to southern Poland.
What I remember from this trip is the island of Sassnitz in Germany, where our boat arrived, the visit to Auswitch concentration camp, a short trip into Chech Republic, the local market in Wisla, where I bought a "Adidas" sweater and a "Panascanic" stereo. Fake, but OK.
On the way, we stopped two nights in Berlin, where I walked down "Unter den Linden", the street I had read about in my german lectures in school.
We continued to Wroclaw in Poland, where we met with all the local beggars. A small shock for us, because we'd never seen beggars before. There was also a nice market in Wroclaw, but our hotel was dreadful. My story about the hotel toilet is not suitable in Globo. I hope things a better today, as this was only a short time after the new democratic goverment was established.
Still, our visit to a pizza-bakery in downtown Wroclaw is one of my best experiences ever, as I was starving after being sick in Berlin.
I have a lot of photos from this trip, and I must scan them into my computer in order to get them published.

My trip to Finland was on a bustrip to a christian youth conference in Lahti.
It strikes me today that we didnt go to see the ski-jumping arena, but I remember the sunset/sunrise in Østersjøen archipelas on the Silja Line boat.
During the trip, I turned 20, but I didnt tell anyone.
