Even if you never mean to stay at Todmorden do go to the website and look at history and gallery. The grounds contain the old waterwheels [3] tower and the history is particularly interesting on that. more

The Tenth Muse 
An interesting cafe and bar, as they call it themselves. I should call it a restaurant. Good food at moderate prices with very good value tapas nights on Thursdays and special gay nights once a month. more

The Shepherd's Rest Inn 
Terrific views over the upper valley of the Calder and local hills while you enjoy a fine lunch. We tend to go when we are taking out visitors - moderate prices for meals and good value for money. more
