Warwick is a lovely little town about an 1¾ by train outside London (or around 94 miles). The easiest way to get there is by train which departs from London Marylebone Station and arrives into Warwick Station which is only about 10 minutes from the town centre and the major site, which is Warwick Castle. Some of the other places of interest are: Colligate Church of St Mary, Hill Close Gardens, Mill Gardens, Lord Leycester Hospital and the Warwickshire Museum.
The town sites on a small hill and straddles the banks of the Avon and was founded here as a defence to the Danish invaders.
Warwick has a wonderful medieval heritage and examples of this is all over with the Castle is a prime example. [edit text][editors]
