The most exciting thing about being on the Hawaii - the Big Island is going to the Hawaii Volcano National Park, and home to the world’s most active volcano – Kilauea. The easiest way to get to the park is to go to the town of Hilo and then the park is about 100 miles outside of town. The park is huge so it is advised to see it over a couple of days especially if the aim is to see molten lava. Alternatively having an aerial view is preferred especially to see where the lava flow enters the sea.

The weather in this area is very changeable and up in the craters can get rather chilly with a lot of rainfall. [edit text]  [editors]
