I have moved to Maui, Hawaii to teach. I have been exploring the island and wanted to share pics. There is so much beauty all around. The people, the weather, the sights!! I have only been here for two weeks, but I am amazed at how many wonderful beaches and sights there are here. Please share info. you may have about trips to Maui. I want to see and do as much as possible while I am here!
Favourite spots:
Lahaina: SHopping and nightlife Wailea: Shopping and fine dining. Tennis and golf Kihei: Beach town. Good selection of beaches and good food. BEaches: There are an embarrassing amount of beatiful beaches on this island! SUnset: Not to be missed! Just unbelievable. I want to see the blue flash, but haven't yet.
What's really great:
Snorkeling: Sea turtles, colorful fish abound! Sightseeing: Mountains, waterfalls, blowholes, the list goes on! Food: There is no shortage of great places to eat on this island. I've only tried a few so far and I have not been disappointed. Entertainment: If you make it to Maui, you MUST see Willie K and his band play. I saw him at Hapa's last night and WOW! Atmosphere: Almost everyone is laid back and happy. The weather is quite warm now in Kihei where I am living. The water is cool and refreshing and clear at most beaches I've been to.

Accommodations:
I stayed at the Kihei Akahi when I arrived and was not disappointed. The price was right and the accomodations were great.
