Tampa is a great place to visit, but I live in St. Petersburg. Hillsborough River State Park is a great getaway. At Busch Gardens, for the price of a single visit, Pinellas and Hillsborough Co. residents can get a year's admission by showing local ID during the early months of the year. At the Channelside District, a new harbor tour has just been inaugurated- and it's free! Seminole Hard Rock Casino is open 24 hours for gambling and nightclubs. Across the highway from the casino is the Ford Pavilion, a new covered, outdoor performance venue which is in great favor with the big tours. Ybor City is a must-see. The Latin Quarter is also home to The Improv/Tampa and dozens of excellent Cuban, Spanish and Italian restaurants, especially the famous Columbia, with its flamenco dancers. The Cigar City is also known for--CIGARs! Later, come to St. Petersburg for the arts & beaches. [edit text][editors]
