Livingstone is quite a hub in this area and is the main access for the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. It’s located in the southern part of Zambia on the Zambezi River that forms the border with Zimbabwe.
The town is not very picturesque (IMHO), but it does have a fast pace with lots of opportunity to get some local souvenirs, at reasonable prices. Blue taxis weave in and out and frantically tries to get your custom; or people trying to sell precious stones and jewellery, really whatever.
There is a great craft market where if you bargain hard good deals can be made.
The small airport is only about 10 minutes drive outside of the town and costs around $10. [edit text][editors]
