Bangor - United Kingdom Penryn Castle is a sham-Norman edifice built in Victorian times from a fortune based on slavery, slate and sugar. The interior is quite as OTT (over the top) as the outside. It has to be admitted that it is historical as it does represent the horribly conspicuous wealth of Victorian gentry - but it's history I wish the UK did not have.
