Cir Mhor |

From Sannox [on the road from Brodick to Lochranza] start up Glen Sannox and get up as early as you can onto the ridge to your right – so that you can enjoy the maximum amount. Ceum na Caillich [Carlin’s Leap or Witch’s Step – and far more like a leap!] involves either a scramble or a diversion but then you go to the great view from the top of Caisteal Abhail and you can follow the ridge to Cir Mhor, again being prepared to use your hands a bit. From here you can find your way to the path down Glen Rosa to Brodick or return down Glen Sannox to Lochranza with its convenient Youth Hostel. Do take a large scale map – it can get a real mist up there.
Also take midge repellant – you have been warned!
