Cremyll ferry |

Many visitors to Plymouth don't even think of passenger ferries but in this case they are missing a particularly beautiful crossing of the Tamar's mouth. Every good Plymothian thinks of it being Cornwall on the other side but it wasn't always so. The ferry has been running for AT LEAST 800 years and is thought to have run in Saxon times. Cremyll, on the west bank was in Devon at this time!
