This museum, in an amazing 21st century building by Daniel Libeskind, is situated by the Manchester Ship Canal immediately opposite the Lowry in Salford [qv] with a spectacular footbridge between them.
Since it concentrates on hte stories of individuals and families, it could perhaps be better described as an anti-war museum.
