information about united-kingdom  Lavenham - United Kingdom

Lavenham is no secret to those who spend time is the county of Suffolk, the southern part of East Anglia. However the county does not get as many visitors as it deserves, particularly from the north of England, as it's not on the way to anywhere.

Lavenham is possibly the best preserved survival of a medieval town iin England (or village depending on which website you look at.

It seems almost a pity to mention specific sights as perhaps the priccipal feature of the town is the sheer number of medieval houses still in use. However the Church, the Guid hall and Little Hall have to be mentioned as particularly worth seeing.

Lavenham owed its medieval splendour to the cloth trade.
