If a well known writer hadn't named this as his favourite spot in the Dales, only for us to picnic there a bit later and see only one human being, I should keep it even more secret because some picturesque limestone pavements have been ruined in the Dales by over-visiting.
As it is, the website is the only clue you get from me. I am banking on a hunch that if you bother to go there, you will appreciate it for what it is and not spoil it.
